Ruud Weijermars
— Strategy Analysis Dr. Ruud Weijermars specializes in independent strategy analysis and training to support energy executives and professionals in strategy, leadership and change management. Ruud is also affiliated to the Department of Geotechnology, Delft University of Technology. His research focus is on the integration of technology, people and processes in the energy value chain in order to optimize the business performance. Ruud is a key lecturer in the Master of Petroleum Business Engineering, which he helped develop at Delft University of Technology in close cooperation with industry partners (Shell, BP, Aramco, Baker Hughes, Petronas, Statoil) and energy knowledge partners (TNO, IFP and EDI). Ruud blends energy business optimization, cognitive principles and learning games, with his knowledge of the geosciences and geo-engineering. Ruud holds a BS (1977) and MS (1981) in Geoscience from the University of Amsterdam, and a PhD from the University of Uppsala (1987), which he then joined as an Associate Professor and remained affiliated for many years. Crispian McCredie
– Strategy and Asset Management Crispian McCredie is a planning and strategy consultant for energy related projects. He has eleven years experience as Managing Director of the renowned Petroleum Economist Magazine, during which time he has had extensive world-wide contacts within the finance and energy sectors. Crispian’s background is in consultancy, finance and asset management. He holds a M.Sc. in Economics from the London Business School and a Bachelor’s with Honors in Business. He has worked with the Swiss Bank Corporation, Bank of America, and started out his career as an industrial trainee with Shell-Mex and BP in the UK. Crispian’s interests include the efficient use of energy from both hydrocarbon and renewable sources. He has managed joint programs with supra nationals such as the World Petroleum Council and the World Energy Council. He is a skillful moderator and speaker at energy conferences. Arthur Berman
– Geological Consultant Arthur Berman is a geological consultant with thirty-two years of experience in petroleum exploration and production. He is specialist in prospect and play evaluation, reserve assessment, risk evaluation, subsurface geological and geophysical interpretation, and database management. Art has an M.S. (Geology) from the Colorado School of Mines and a B.A. (History) from Amherst College. Art’s clients include Eu0026amp;P companies and capital groups in the energy sector. Art has made over 30 presentations to Financial Analyst Conferences, Oil u0026amp; Gas Association Meetings, Engineering and Geological Society Meetings and Eu0026amp;P Company Executive Committees over the past year. He is a guest lecturer at the Rice University Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Management. Art also published over 50 articles on geology, technology, and the petroleum industry. Publication topics include petroleum exploration, oil and gas price trends and cycles, petroleum play evaluation, sequence stratigraphy, coastal subsidence, earthquakes, tsunamis, and petroleum geopolitics. Allen Brooks
— Financial and Market Analysis Allen Brooks has spent more than 40 years in the energy and investment industries as an energy securities analyst, an oilfield service company manager, a consultant to energy company managements and as a member of the board of directors of several oilfield service companies. He most recently advised a private equity firm about the business strategy of their oilfield service company. Since early 2005, Allen has been an advisor to PPHB, a boutique oilfield service investment banking firm. There he publishes his highly regarded energy newsletter, Musings From the Oil Patch and provides proprietary research for the firm’s partners. During his career, Allen was recognized as a Wall Street Journal All-Star analyst. He headed the oilfield service equity research team at CIBC World Markets for eight years and prior to that was with New Orleans-based energy research firm, Howard Weil for four years. In the early 1990s, Allen was a member of the senior management team of ENSCO International, the offshore contract drilling company.
